North Greene Bright Futures Family Program is a grant-funded organization that works with prentatal parents and parents of birth-3 (years) aged children. The goal of Bright Futures is to strengthen and support the ability of all parents to provide the best possible environment for the healthy growth and development of their children. The North Greene Unit School District No. 3 Prevention Initiative Program is recognized and funded by the Illinois State Board of Education. Bright Futures birth-to-three program provides children and their families an opportunity to grow in positive ways.

The North Greene Unit District No. 3 Prevention Initiative Program is recognized and funded by the Illinois State Board of Education. Bright Futures birth-to-three program provides children and their families an opportunity to grow in positive ways. By promoting a literacy-rich environment, fostering imagination, and providing physical and emotional support, families are better equipped to help their children reach their maximum potential.
Our History
1994 - Our Program was established and called Model Parenting and initially served Birth-to-5 children and families residing in the North Greene School District.
1999 - Model Parenting added Prevention Initiative and together they formed the Bright Futures Family Program. Prevention Initiative would serve Prenatal-to-3.
2007 - Model Parenting is replaced solely by Prevention Initiative and continues being called the Bright Futures Family Program and serves the Prenatal-to-3 population.
2018 - Bright Futures Family Program undergoes quality endorsement, and is awarded recognition as a "Parents as Teachers" International Blue Ribbon Affiliate.
