North Greene JR/SR High Remote Learning Prep Meetings

North Greene Athletics Update:
Good morning. There have been several positive cases of Covid-19 just recently flood the North Greene Community, with many of our community members, students, and their families being exposed. At this time North Greene Unit District #3 is shutting down all extra-curricular activities until further notice. Primarily this will affect JH Baseball, JH Softball, and HS/JH Cross Country. North Greene administration has been in constant conversation with the Greene County Health Department over the recent surge in positive cases in our area, and we will continue to rely on them for guidance about when it will be safe to resume athletics and extra-curricular events in our area. I know we were very close to being able to offer the opportunities for our young people to participate in athletics, but right now the risk of exposure for them is just too great. Please keep yourself and your families safe, and adhere to the health and safety guidelines that have been put in place. Our diligence in combating this virus, and following the safety guidelines, will be the difference in how quickly we get our student athletes back to playing.

We will host an informational meeting for parents and athletes in the NGHS Gym, on Monday 8/10 at 6:00PM, for students interested in competing in Cross Country this fall. Enter through the North doors, and masks will be required. Thanks

NGHS Update:
New elective open to juniors and senior students, for this school year. Students will gain a basic knowledge of minor home repairs that can be used for a lifetime.
The IESA has released a schedule change for the 20-21 school year that is similar to the IHSA's changes.

The IESA has reinstated JH Baseball, Softball, and Cross Country for this fall. Practices may begin on 8/3/20. JH Softball will have a parent meeting at 6:00PM at the field before practice on Monday. JH Baseball will practice 4:00-5:30PM on the back field at the WH Res on Monday, with a parent meeting to follow at 5:30PM. Please make sure that you have completed the online Athletics and Activities Code through Skyward.
NGJH BB, SB, and XC has been reinstated by the IESA. Schedules will be changing, but practices can begin on Monday 8/3/20. More information to come.
