Student Activity Update:
With the mandated school closures, all North Greene scheduled athletic contests and practices during this time period, 3/17-3/30 are canceled. Coaches will have plans put together for their athletes to continue their training outside of school, to keep them safe and healthy.
The decision has just been made by our Governor to close all Illinois schools from 3/17/20-3/30/20. NG has their E-Learning plan in place, so please make sure to send your students to school on Monday, so we can prep them with laptops and materials for the closure. Thank you.

The North Greene JH Volleyball game against Brown County has been canceled for tonight due to inclement weather.
Special Congratulations to Brayden Wyatt for breaking the NGHS school record for Most Three Pointers in a Season with 79, previously held by Sean Knox, with 75 in 2003-2004.
The North Greene Spartans Basketball team celebrated Senior night in style, as they defeated Greenfield/NW 65-59. Congratulations to Will, Brayden, Collin, Taylor, and Keaton on fine careers.

The NGJH 8th Graders expand their horizons, as history comes alive at The Holocaust Museum down in St. Louis.
The Spartan Basketball team defeated Pawnee, 72-63 on Throwback Night in White Hall tonight.
Saturday featured an outstanding display of courage, sportsmanship, and integrity by the North Greene Special Olympics Unified Basketball team, competing in the IHSA Regional Tournament in PORTA. The Spartans fell to Pontiac, but handled themselves with such class, poise, and character to honor their team, school, and community. Our students put others before themselves, struggled valiantly through adversity, and showed everyone what it means to be a North Greene Spartan. Thank you to everyone that works so hard with our Unified Basketball program to create opportunities and experiences for our Special Olympic Athletes, that will help to change their lives for the better. We are all very proud of you.
NGHS Scholastic Bowl takes 2nd place today at the Masonic Bowl 1A Sectional. Great job!

The North Greene Lady Spartans played their hearts out tonight against top seeded Carrollton in the Regional Semi-Final. NG trailed by 1 entering the 4th quarter, and took the lead late, but Carrollton’s late Free Throws were too much, and NG fell, 53-49.
North Greene IHSA Girls Basketball Regional Results:
Carrollton over North Greene 53-49, Triopia over West Central 47-33. Carrollton vs. Triopia in the Championship on Thursday, 2/13/20 at 7:00PM.
The North Greene Lady Spartan Basketball team defeated Western tonight, 49-40 to advance to the IHSA Regional Semi-Finals on Tuesday, as they take on Carrollton at 6:00PM, in White Hall.
